How to fix Eudora Mail Agent for KOI8-R MIME charset

Eudora don't has user-defined MIME charset, it force iso-8859-1 for all messages with 8 bit chars. You can bug Eudora author Jeff Beckley to add user-defined 8bit MIME charset to future Eudora versions instead of all this cracks.

Here two binary patches which change iso-8859-1 to koi8-r directly into .EXE file:

You need some sort of binary editor to apply them, f.e. Cracker (handle .CRK files automatically) or Hiew (good binary editor).

Don't forget to turn off Quoted-Printable option from Eudora setup.

Eudora 3.0 patch submitted by Alexey Golovin <cycle@incoma.com>, thanks.

You can find Eudora 2.03 (and upgrade it to latest version from Eudora Home Page) on Russian CD with title: Сборник программ для MICROSOFT WINDOWS, volume #6.

P.S. I don't reccomend Eudora due to its Russian-unfriendly nature, use Microsoft Internet Mail and News instead, it gives all Eudora features plus good Russian (KOI8-R) support.
